Records
Why can't I tap a future date?
A record is something that already happened, so the calendar only opens days up to today. Tomorrow becomes tappable tomorrow.
How do I delete everything I have recorded?
Settings, then Delete my data, then Delete all records. Your account stays and you are not signed out; what goes is everything you have recorded, along with your name, gender and birthday.
Account
Can I use DailyTails without an account?
Yes — choose Continue as guest when you open the app. Everything works, and what you record stays on this device until you link an account to it.
I started as a guest. Can I keep what I recorded?
Yes. Open the profile tab, tap your account card, and link Apple from the Link section. Your records stay with the account you are already using — linking adds a way to sign in rather than starting a new account.
It says my Apple or Google account is already linked.
That identity belongs to another DailyTails account, and one identity can only sign in to one of them. Sign in with it directly if that account is yours.
How do I delete my account?
Settings, then Delete my data, then Delete my account. Everything you have recorded and everything in your profile is erased with it, you are signed out on every device, and none of it can be brought back.
Settings
How do I change the language?
Settings, then Language. DailyTails is drawn in English or Simplified Chinese, and the choice takes effect right away.
Can I make the text bigger?
Settings, then Text size. Choose from seven sizes, or turn on Follow system to match your phone's text size.
My week starts on Monday, not Sunday.
Settings, then Start of the week. Pick Monday and the calendar redraws its columns that way.
